El alcalde de Cúcuta, Jorge Acevedo, ha confirmado que la empresa Aguas Kpital no seguirá operando en la ciudad, cumpliendo así una promesa de campaña. Esta decisión busca que la gestión del agua vuelva a manos de los cucuteños, lo que permitiría generar mayores beneficios para la comunidad.
Recuperación del Servicio Público
Acevedo enfatizó que la ciudad necesita controlar sus servicios públicos para garantizar rentabilidad y aumentar la inversión social. «Aguas Kpital no va más», declaró el alcalde, subrayando la importancia de que Cúcuta maneje directamente el servicio de agua o, en su defecto, contrate a un nuevo operador después de un análisis exhaustivo.
Tranquilidad para los Ciudadanos
El alcalde aseguró que los ciudadanos pueden estar tranquilos, ya que se tomará la mejor decisión para el bienestar de la ciudad. Se espera que en los próximos meses se defina quién asumirá la operación del servicio de agua en Cúcuta.
Caso del Veedor Asesinado
Acevedo también se refirió al reciente asesinato de un veedor de servicios públicos en la ciudad, quien había denunciado irregularidades en varias empresas. El alcalde expresó su deseo de que este caso se esclarezca rápidamente y se haga justicia.
